Copyright Ownership

Authors who publish articles in Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika retain the copyright to their works without restriction.

Authors also retain their publishing rights and grant Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika the right of first publication. The journal is authorized to publish, distribute, archive, preserve, and make the article publicly accessible in accordance with the journal’s open-access policy and the applicable Creative Commons licence.

Copyright ownership remains with the author or authors. Any commercial rights associated with the article also remain with the author or authors, subject to any separate agreements with research funders, institutions, sponsors, or other parties.

Creative Commons Licence

Articles published in Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Under this licence, users are permitted to:

  1. copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format; and

  2. remix, transform, and build upon the material,

provided that all of the following conditions are met:

Attribution

Users must give appropriate credit to the author or authors, provide complete citation information, identify Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika as the original source of publication, provide a link to the licence, and indicate whether any changes have been made.

NonCommercial

The material may not be used primarily for commercial purposes without obtaining separate permission from the copyright holder.

ShareAlike

When users remix, transform, or build upon the material, they must distribute their contributions under the same CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence as the original work.

No additional legal terms or technological measures may be applied if they legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted under this licence.

Author Rights

Without requiring additional permission from the Editorial Board, authors may:

  1. use all or part of their articles for teaching and other educational activities;

  2. use all or part of their articles in theses, dissertations, monographs, or other academic works;

  3. use their articles to prepare abstracts, conference papers, reports, posters, presentations, or other scholarly communications;

  4. reproduce and distribute copies of their articles for non-commercial academic purposes;

  5. deposit electronic copies of their articles in institutional or subject-based repositories;

  6. upload copies of their articles to their personal websites, academic profiles, or non-commercial scholarly platforms; and

  7. reuse figures, tables, data, and other materials from their articles in subsequent scholarly works, provided that the original publication is properly acknowledged.

Authors may archive the published version of their articles, including the final version downloaded from the official journal website, on:

  • personal websites, webpages, blogs, or academic profiles;

  • websites or repositories operated by the authors’ institutions;

  • institutional or subject repositories;

  • non-commercial open-access platforms; and

  • other non-commercial scholarly archives.

Every archived or redistributed version should include complete bibliographic information and, where available, the Digital Object Identifier and a link to the official article page.

Journal Rights

By submitting and publishing an article in Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to:

  1. publish the article for the first time;

  2. identify itself as the original publisher;

  3. distribute the article through the journal website and relevant indexing services;

  4. preserve and archive the article in digital preservation systems;

  5. reproduce the article for editorial, indexing, promotional, preservation, and non-commercial academic purposes; and

  6. authorize databases, repositories, libraries, and indexing services to store and provide access to the article.

This licence is non-exclusive. Authors remain free to enter into additional non-exclusive arrangements for the distribution of the published version of their articles, provided that the original publication in Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika is properly acknowledged.

Commercial Use

The CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence does not permit commercial use without additional authorization from the copyright holder.

Any party intending to use an article primarily for commercial advantage or monetary compensation must obtain prior written permission from the author or other lawful copyright holder.

Commercial use may include, but is not limited to:

  • reproducing an article in a commercial publication;

  • selling copies of the article;

  • including the article in a paid database or commercial training package;

  • using substantial parts of the article in commercial advertising or promotional materials; or

  • licensing the article to a third party for commercial purposes.

Use by educational institutions, libraries, researchers, students, or non-profit organizations is not automatically considered non-commercial. The nature and primary purpose of the use must be evaluated in accordance with the terms of the applicable Creative Commons licence.

Third-Party Materials

The Creative Commons licence applies only to materials for which the author or journal holds the necessary rights.

Images, figures, tables, datasets, software, trademarks, photographs, or other third-party materials included in an article may be subject to separate copyright terms. When such materials are not covered by the article’s Creative Commons licence, this must be clearly indicated in the relevant caption, credit line, or acknowledgement.

Users are responsible for obtaining permission from the appropriate copyright holder before reusing third-party materials beyond what is permitted by law.

Metadata Licence

The bibliographic metadata published on the website of Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika may be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, indexed, harvested, and reused for lawful scholarly and non-commercial purposes, provided that the journal is properly acknowledged as the source.

Unless otherwise stated, the website content and journal metadata are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence.
