Open Access Policy

Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika provides immediate open access to all published content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports the wider dissemination and global exchange of knowledge.

As an open-access journal, all articles published in Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika are freely accessible to individuals and institutions without subscription or access charges.

Users are permitted to:

  • read;

  • download;

  • copy;

  • distribute;

  • print;

  • search;

  • link to the full text of articles;

  • crawl articles for indexing;

  • use published content as data for software; and

  • use the articles for other lawful purposes,

without requesting prior permission from the publisher or authors, provided that the authors and the original source of publication are properly acknowledged and cited, and that such use complies with the copyright and licensing policy of the journal.

This policy is consistent with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

Budapest Open Access Initiative

The Budapest Open Access Initiative defines open access as the free availability of scholarly literature on the public internet. Open access allows users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, index, and lawfully use scholarly articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those required to access the internet.

The primary objective of open access is to remove barriers to scholarly information and make research findings more widely available to researchers, lecturers, students, professionals, policymakers, and the general public.

Open access is expected to:

  1. accelerate the development of research;

  2. increase the visibility and impact of published works;

  3. support access to knowledge across geographical and economic boundaries;

  4. enrich education and scholarly communication;

  5. encourage research collaboration; and

  6. contribute to the development of an inclusive global knowledge community.

The only appropriate restrictions on the reproduction and distribution of scholarly works are those required to maintain the integrity of the authors’ works and ensure that the authors are properly acknowledged and cited.

Open-Access Publishing

Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika supports the open-access journal model by making its peer-reviewed articles permanently and freely available online immediately after publication.

The journal does not impose subscription or readership fees for accessing published articles. The availability of articles is not subject to an embargo period.

The open-access policy of Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika is intended to ensure that research in technology, informatics, computer science, information systems, and related disciplines can be disseminated as broadly as possible.

Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted to deposit or archive versions of their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, or other appropriate scholarly archives, in accordance with the journal’s copyright and licensing policy.

Authors must provide complete bibliographic information and acknowledge Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika as the original place of publication.

The deposited version should include, where available:

  • the title of the article;

  • the authors’ names;

  • the journal name;
