Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika is firmly committed to preventing plagiarism and maintaining the integrity of all published scholarly works. The journal does not tolerate any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate paraphrasing, and the use of another person’s ideas, data, images, tables, or words without proper acknowledgement.
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original works. When authors use the ideas, findings, data, figures, tables, or words of others, the relevant sources must be properly cited or quoted in accordance with academic writing conventions.
Manuscripts containing plagiarism, substantial unattributed similarities, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected. The authors will be notified of the reasons for the editorial decision. Authors must also ensure that substantial parts of the submitted manuscript have not previously been published or are not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
Before submitting a manuscript to Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika, authors are strongly encouraged to conduct an originality check using reliable plagiarism-detection software, such as Turnitin or another comparable application.
All manuscripts submitted to Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika may be screened using plagiarism-detection software before entering or during the peer-review process.
The maximum similarity index permitted by Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika is 15%. However, the similarity percentage is not the sole basis for determining plagiarism. Editors will also examine the sources, distribution, context, and nature of the detected similarities.
Manuscripts may still be rejected when the similarity index is below 15% if they contain unattributed copying, plagiarism of ideas, inappropriate paraphrasing, data duplication, or other serious violations of publication ethics. Conversely, similarities originating from properly quoted passages, bibliographies, standard terminology, institutional names, or methodological descriptions may be evaluated further by the Editorial Board.
Authors are responsible for revising manuscripts with unacceptable similarities before submission. The final decision regarding plagiarism, manuscript revision, rejection, correction, or retraction rests with the Editorial Board of Teknotika: Teknologi dan Informatika, in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policy and applicable guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
